Two CMS students presented with life-saving award

GAINESVILLE - Two Chestatee Middle School students were recently recognized by Hall County Sheriff Steve Cronic for their life-saving efforts.

Sheriff Cronic presented Casey Brown and Brian Bain with the Hall County Sheriff's Office Lifesaving Award in recognition of their "quick thinking and courageous actions."

The pair is credicted with saving the life of a three-year-old neighbor who had fallen off a boat dock and was in imminent danger of drowning.

The incident happened last summer.
