CLEVELAND - Fire investigators believe they now know where the fire started that destroyed the Zaxby's Restaurant in Cleveland last month, but they still don't know how the blaze began.
Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt said investigators told him the fire started in an exhaust fan in a bathroom.
David Adams is an investigator with SCA Limited, a firm that is probing the fire. He said it could a while before they know the exact cause.
"Depending on whether we're looking at mechanical equipment we need to look at or electrical equipment, it could take up to six months to a year," said Adams.
Building back the restaurant will also take some time according to owner Greg McLeroy.
"From right now it should be open back up in a couple of months," he said.
McLeroy said he plans to begin construction on a new building on the site in a couple of weeks.
