CANTON -- The Johnson boys soccer team shut out Creekview 2-0 on Monday in Canton.
The win sets up a key showdown for the Knights (9-2, 6-1 Region 7-AAA) with rival West Hall on Thursday, as both teams are battling for a playoff spot and a shot at the Region 7-AAA title.
Manuel Aguillar and Guadalupe Garcia each scored for Johnson on Monday, while Juan Morfin and Vicente Trujillo provided the assists.
The Knights and Spartans will face off at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at West Hall.
