7-AAA coaches name All-region hoops teams

It was the year of the big players in Region 7-AAA, as Flowery Branch's Ishmael Hollis and Gainesville's Jaymee Carnes, both forwards, were named 7-AAA Players of the Year on Monday by the region's coaches.

Hollis and Carnes led the region in scoring and both are headed to play on the next level -- Carnes with Wake Forest and Hollis with Western Carolina.

Region coaches also named their first, second and honorable mention teams.
