GAINESVILLE - A Hall County teacher has been named Teacher of the Year by the Georgia Association for Gifted Children (GAGC). <br />

Cathy Dial teaches at Mt. Vernon Elementary School.<br />

Dial was selected for her "demonstrated commitment to teaching gifted students, service as an advocate for gifted education, service to GAGC and other relevant professional organizations, and evidence of leadership within the school and the district."<br />
