UK women also rack up in SEC awards; Houts second team

ATLANTA -- Kentucky has taken two awards on The Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference women's basketball team as Victoria Dunlap is a unanimous choice for player of the year and Matthew Mitchell is the coach of the year.

South Carolina freshman Kelsey Bone picked up the award for newcomer of the year.

Dunlap, a junior forward who ranks third in the league in scoring and fourth in rebounding, is one of two unanimous picks to the first team. The other is LSU senior guard Allison Hightower. Other first-teamers are Ole Miss senior guard Bianca Thomas and a pair of players from league champion Tennessee, junior swing player Angie Bjorklund and sophomore center Kelley Cain.

Ashley Houts of Georgia leads the second team, which also includes Bone, Tennessee's Shekinna Stricklen, Mississippi State's Alexis Rack and Vanderbilt's Jence Rhoads.
