HARTWELL - Published reports say an automotive parts manufacturer is adding nearlly 200 jobs at its northeast Georgia plant. <br />

Tenneco Inc. says 180 jobs will be created at its Hartwell plant over the next couple of months, according to a report in the Anderson Independent (S.C.) newspaper. Efforts to reach company officials for comment Monday morning were unsuccessful.<br />

Its the second such announcement in northeast Georgia in less than a week. Last week, SafeLite announced plans to open a distribution center in Braselton creating 92 new jobs there. SafeLite is a manufacturer of windows and windshields for cars and trucks.<br />
