Girls tennis: Lakeview girls sweep Hebron

GAINESVILLE - The Lakeview Academy girls tennis team did not drop a set in taking a 5-0 sweep over Hebron Christian Friday at the Lakeview Courts.

Niki Patel beat Michelle Kniffen 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles; Jackie Burleson knocked off Anneliese Vorpahl 7-5, 6-1 at No. 2; and Paige Atherton whipped Claudia Gowrys 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.

The No. 1 doubles team of Cree Nix and Komal Patel beat Minnie Schulte and Ashley Whitten 6-1, 6-0 while the No. 2 team of Lisa Coles and Tori Baptist beat Allie Klaubert and Laurena Circelli 6-1, 7-5 to complete the sweep.
