Hall to formally object to Buford annexation plan

GAINESVILLE - Hall County's planning director asked for and got approval this week from county commissioners to object to an annexation of some property in Hall County by the City of Buford.

Randy Knighton says Buford wants to annex a single-family residience and rezone it as residential. The problem, according to Knighton, is the anenxation might open the door for Buford.

"There are a few lots there which could lead to further annexation of those residential properties and we have initial concern about that," Knighton said.

Knighton said Hall's objection to an earlier Buford residential annexation two months ago stopped that request.
