Tennis: North Hall boys stay perfect in region

The North Hall boys tennis team stayed perfect in Region 7A-AAA play after beating Lumpkin County 5-0 Thursday.

In singles, Clayton Nedza, Eli LoCicero, and Will Bennett all took straight wins for the Trojans (3-2, 2-0 in subregion).

Nedza beat Will Jarrard 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1; LoCicero beat Daniel Cribbs 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2; and Bennett beat Ben Mayfield 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, the team of Jack Hortenstine and Joe Nedza won a tough match over Nick Brasier and Ethan Norton 7-6, 6-7, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. Charlie Hortenstine and Sam Taylor completed he sweep with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Edgar Rojas and James Snipes at No. 2 doubles.
