Tennis: Johnson girls aced by West Forsyth

The Johnson girls tennis team fell 5-0 to West Forsyth Thursday in a Region 7B-AAA match.

In singles play, Cady Nix lost to Jenna Brunner 6-1,6-0 at No. 1 while Kamy Field lost to Madison Umbaugh 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. Maggie Turner lost 6-1, 6-1 to Megan Aligheri at No. 3 singles.

In doubles action, Claire Crain and Harlee Robson fell 6-3, 6-0 to Savannah Miller and Christina Littleton at No. 1 doubles. Lauren Houston and Carlyn Ivey lost 6-1, 6-3 to Sydney Nieml and Christina Littleton at No. 2 doubles.

Johnson fell to 2-2 overall, 0-1 in region play with the loss.
