Furlough plan okayed for Hall schools

GAINESVILLE - Hall County schools have a plan for dealing with furlough days the rest of the school year.

The school board Monday night approved Supt. Will Schofield's recommendation that two-and-a-half days that were missed in January because of snow will be used as furlough days as well as the afternoon of April 2. It was scheduled as an "early release" day for students but under the plan okayed by the Hall County School Board, teachers will go home that day when students do.
