GAINESVILLE - Toyota dealers across the country are preparing to handle thousands of repairs thanks to two huge company recalls.
Jimmy Hernandez with Milton Martin Toyota said the Gainesville dealership is no different. In fact, they'll have to hire additional technicians to accommodate customers.
"Because it's such a large amount of cars that are involved in two recalls, we expect these positions--although temporary--they'll probably last months if not the rest of the year," said Hernandez.
Toyota is also sending trainers in to teach local technicians how to repair the faulty accelerators that prompted one of the recalls.
Hernandez said he expects Milton Martin Toyota to begin work on the recalled vehicles as soon as Monday.
