Power outage affecting 300 Ga. Power customers

GAINESVILLE - A power outage in the East Hall area is affecting about 300 Georgia Power customers.

Gainesville District Manager Darrell Snyder says the outage was caused by a tree that came down on lines off Old Cornelia Highway near Joe Chandler Road.

Snyder says Georgia Power has experienced a number of small outages in the territory covered by the Gainesville office because of the weekend snowstorm and the windy conditions.

He says if you lose power, don't assume that it has been reported by someone else, go ahead and give Georgia Power a call.
