DAWSONVILLE - Dawson County used a huge second quarter to pull away from Gilmer in a 53-41 win Friday night.
The Tigers (4-1) trailed 9-8 after the first uqarter but outscored the Bobcats 19-8 to grab the lead and never looked back. The outscored Gilmer 26-24 in the second half to preserve the win.
Jacob Evans led Dawson with 23 points. Tyler Dominy added 16 and Will Anglin 10 for the Tigers.
Gilmer (1-3) was led by 11 points from Drew Parks.
