Fired Forsyth official begins his defense Monday

CUMMING - The hearing into an appeal of his firing by the former Forsyth County Planning Director is scheduled to resume Monday.

When the civil service board hearing resumes in Cumming, attorneys for Jeff Chance are expected to begin calling their witnesses.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the county wrapped up its case last week.

Chance was fired last August after an investigation showed improper use of his county email account. Chance says his dismall was "political." (See earlier story.)
