Merritt assuming additional duties

CUMMING - Deputy Forsyth County Manager Tim Merritt is taking on some additional duties: that of Legislative Coordinator for the county.

County spokeswoman Jodi Gardner says Merritt, a former assistant city manager in Gainesville, will be monitoring and evaluating legislative reports for their impact on the county "for their impact on the county government and...updating the board (of commissioners) during the (state) legislative session."

Merritt became the deputy county manager in Forsyth County about a year ago.
