ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech has signed Marietta's Julian Royal and Georgia has added three players on the first day of the early signing period.
Royal, a 6-foot-8 forward, led Milton High to the Class AAAAA state championship last season. He has led Milton in scoring each of the last three seasons.
Georgia coach Mark Fox signed two high school players: Tim Dixon, a 6-foot-10 forward who has transferred from Kendrick High in Columbus to Oldsmar (Fla.) Christian School and 6-foot-6 guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope of Greenville High.
Georgia also signed 7-foot center John Florveus of Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Fla.
The early signing period began Wednesday.
