Recycle electronics, more Sat.

GAINESVILLE - Hall County Resource Recovery and Keep Hall Beautiful will be collecting recyclables from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hall County Farmers Market.

Items accepted for recycling include:

Electronics, full list online ($10 charge for televisions)
Eyeglasses
Home thermostats
Mercury thermometers
Compact fluorescent light bulbs (limit four per household  no businesses, please)

There also will be mobile document shredding available with a limit of four boxes per household (no businesses, please).

This is our second event this year for what we call non-traditional recyclables. The free document shredding is always very popular, said Cindy Reed, Executive Director of Keep Hall Beautiful.

 Hall County has been a leader in initiating the reduction of solid waste through recycling, and we are dedicated to furthering recycling efforts through these types of events, Natural Resources Coordinator Rick Foote said.
