2 killed in East Hall accident

GILLSVILLE - Two people were killed in a head-on collision in East Hall County Friday morning.

Assistant Hall County Coroner John Wayne Abernathy confirmed that Courtney Lovell, age 22, of Gillsville died at the scene after her vehicle was hit head-on on Joe Chandler Road near Whiporwill Road.

The driver of the other car has been identified as Steven Michael Cole, 50, of Buford. He died enroute to the hospital.

The accident happened around 7:45 a.m.
