Forsyth Co. water plant worker killed

CUMMING - A worker at the Forsyth County Water Plantdied after being trapped under a piece of machinery.

Capt. Jason Shivers of the Forsyth County fire department says the man, whose name has not been released, worked for a subcontractor at the plant. Shivers says construction is under way to expand the plant.

Shivers says firefighters were dispatched to the plant Thursday afternoon but found it difficult to make contact with the man, who apparently was trapped under a piece of equipment when it rolled over.

Shivers says rescue workers were quickly able to free the man, but he did not survive.
