WALESKA -- The Golden Tigers volleyball team picked up its second straight win and sixth of the season Tuesday night when it bested Reinhardt 23-25, 27-25, 25-23, 25-21.
There were several outstanding individual performances in this one, highlighted by Sophomore setter Mekenna Cipres' (Murietta, Calif.) season high 39 assists. She also had six digs, six serving aces and four blocks in her best match of the year.
Melissa Thornton (Woodstock) led the Tigers with 14 kills and added 25 digs, five blocks and three aces; Alexis Arthur (Aiken, S.C.) came up with 13 kills and 15 digs and Kelsey Aley (Tallahassee, Fla.) had 11 blocks and seven kills. Courtney Frady (Ellijay) added 14 digs and Libero Danelle Russell (Cartersville) helped out with 19 digs.
Brenau will conclude the season on Saturday at 2 pm when they host Brewton Parker in the Tiger Gym.
