Retired WDUN account executive dies

GAINESVILLE - The Jacobs Media Corp. family lost a former longtime and devoted employee Thursday morning with the passing of Nell Allen.

Allan died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center at the age of 85.

She worked for Jacobs Media (parent company of WDUN, WDUN-FM, 1240 ESPN RADIO, AccessNorthGa.com, and Wide Travel) for more than 40 years as an account executive in the sales department.

Memorial services for Allan will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of First Baptist Church on Green Street.
