Manhunt called off

FLOWERY BRANCH - A suspected burglar remains on the loose after a manhunt for him Monday in South Hall, which extended into Jackson County, was called off.

Hall County authorities went to serve a warrant on him and when he was spotted on J.J. Lott Road in a van, officers tried to pull him over. That's when he pulled over, jumped out of the van and ran.

Hall County Sheriff's Col. Jeff Strickland said, "It is unknown if he's armed. He has committed a number of burglaries over the last three weeks in several counties and he has fled from law enforcement officers in Gwinnett County."

Strickland declined to release the name of the suspect at this time. The search was called off Monday afternoon.
