GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Clemson's Ty McCormack was selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week.
McCormack won his second meet of the season, finishing first at the 22-team Charlotte Invitational this past weekend. The North Hall High graduate turned in a personal-best time of 24:37.4, topping the field of 206 athletes and out-distancing the runner-up, Tom Divinnie of meet champion Wake Forest, by 8.4 seconds.
McCormack, a freshman, was also named AgSouth Homegrown Athlete of the Week by Clemson for his efforts.
