MT. AIRY -- Habersham Central dropped Game 3 of its Region 8-AAAA second round matchup with Heritage, Conyers Monday.
The Lady Raiders lost 8-0 to the Lady Patriots. The two teams had split the first games Friday, with Habersham winning Game 1, 1-0, and losing Game 2, 8-7.
Habersham next will take on Loganville Thursday in a single game for the third seed from 8-AAAA in the upcoming Class AAAA state tournament.
Habersham qualified for its first-ever state tournament by beating Flowery Branch last week in the first round.
Heritage, Conyers will take on Cllass AAAA No. 1-ranked Madison County Thursday for the top seed from Region 8-AAAA.
