Importance of smoke alarms emphasized this week

GAINESVILLE - Smoke alarms are "front and center" for the Hall County Fire Department's observance of Fire Prevention Week this week.

Several events are planned at which the importance of smoke alarms will be emphasized.

In addition to fire safety education, the public will get an up-close look at the equipment and vehicles used by the fire department. Here is a schedule of events:
