GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Georgia Tech's Gani Lawal and Miami's Durand Scott have earned weekly awards from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The ACC on Monday named Lawal its player of the week and Scott its top rookie.
Lawal had two 21-point games in earning the award for the second time in his career. He scored 14 points in the second half of the Yellow Jackets' upset of No. 8 Duke.
Scott had 10 points, three assists, two rebounds and a steal to help Miami move to its best start in 50 years with a win against Wake Forest. The Hurricanes (15-1) have won seven straight.
