LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky is off to its best start in 40 years, and freshman start John Wall says the Wildcats need to dream big.
Kentucky improved to 15-0 with a gritty 71-62 win over rival Louisville on Saturday. The Wildcats haven't won their first 15 games since 1969-70.
Wall scored 14 of his 17 points against the Cardinals in the second half, including six straight after Louisville briefly took the lead.
Wall said he thinks the third-ranked Wildcats can go unbeaten, but have to put in the necessary work to make it happen. The last team to make it through the season without a loss was Indiana back in 1976.
Coach John Calipari says Kentucky is ``lucky'' to be 15-0 and he considers the Wildcats' record to be more like 9-6.
Kentucky opens play in the Southeastern Conference on Saturday against Georgia.
