CUMMING - East Hall began a critical 10-game Region 7B-AAA stretch with a 49-46 win over West Forsyth Saturday night.
West Forsyth (5-5, 0-1 in subregion) grabbed the early lead but the Lady Vikings stormed back to take the lead by halftime.
Jasmine Jenkins paced 10 East Hall scorers with nine points. Morgan jackson added eight for the Lady Vikings.
Megan Whittaker had a game-high 20 points to lead West Forsyth, which had won five of its last seven before Saturday's loss.
East Hall (8-4, 2-0) will try to keep its unbeaten subregion streak going playing host to arch-rival Gainesville on Tuesday. The Lady Vikings lost to Gainesville 57-45 in the Lanierland Tournament last month.
