Wrestling: Falcons take third straight Hall County Duals

FLOWERY BRANCH - Flowery Branch has made the Hall County Duals wrestling tournament its own early-season showcase in recent years winning two straight titles.

On Saturday, the host Falcons made it three in a row with an undefeated run through the two-day tournament.

The Falcons easily dispatched both West Hall and North Hall on the final day by identical 48-18 scores, led by Danny Bell - the most outstanding wrestler in the lower weights (103-140 pounds) - and Chris Amos, who named the most outstanding wrestler in the upper weights (145-285 pounds). Flowery Branch finished a perfect 6-0 in the tournament.

The Trojans and Spartans then dueled for second place with North Hall winning the final four matches to pull away for a 48-27 win. North Hall finished 5-1 and West Hall 4-2.

Chestatee (3-3) finished fourth, Gainesville (2-4) was fifth, East Hall (1-5) took sixth, and Johnson (0-6) was seventh.
