MURRAYVILLE - North Hall snapped a two-game Region 7-AAA losing streak with a crucial 8-0, five-inning win over Lambert Wednesday.
The Lady Trojans (10-12-1, 5-6 in region) pounded out 11 hits, powered by a solo home run from Danielle Newburn.
Megan Rogers earned the win with a no-hitter while striking out six.
Senior Kelsey Gibbs and junior Amber Youngblood helped lead the offensive barrage for North Hall with two hits and two RBI each. Rogers and sophmore Whitney Swing each had two hits and one RBI for the Lady Trojans.
North Hall is one of five teams battling for the final three playoff spots in the upcoming Region 7-AAA Tournament. The Lady Trojans will travel to Pickens
Thursday in the regular season finale for both teams.
