TIGER - Morgan McKinney allowed just three hits and no runs in leading Jefferson to a 10-0, five-inning win over Rabun County Tuesday in Region 8-AA action.
The Lady Dragons (7-9, 2-5 in region) poundxed out 13 hits, led by Jordyn Whitfield with three hits and two RBI. Brittney Smith, Kasey McDonald, Catherine Knight, and McKinney each had two hits for Jefferson.
Sydney Roberts and Paige Pate each had one hit as the Lady Dragons jumped on the Lady Wildcats with two runs in the firt and five in the second. Jefferson added three runs in the fourth to invoke the 10-run Mercy rule.
Jefferson next will travel to Class AA No. 2-ranked North Oconee (22-2) Wednesday in a makeup game.
