ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - Two Georgia men face charges they stole more than $70,000 worth of gambling chips from two Atlantic City casinos.
Richard Newman, of Lawrenceville, and Gustavo Acuna, of Gainsville, were arrested earlier this week by New Jersey state police who recognized them from casino surveillance tapes.
Police said they were pulled over while driving a short distance from the casinos and had $66,000 in cash and several stun guns.
Authorities said the men stole chips from closed chip trays that were not being used at the time at the Showboat Casino Hotel and Caesars Atlantic City.
