GAINESVILLE - Jefferson swept a pair of matches Thursday at the Lakeview Academy gym.
The Lady Dragons rallied for a 19-25, 25-23, 25-11 Area 7A/AA win over Lakeview Academy in the first game, paced by Taylor Cramsey, who scored five unanswered points on serve clinch the second game. In the third game, Cassie Metcalf scored six straight points to lead Jefferson to match win.
Stephanie Fincher led the Jeffeson offense with 15 kills. Amanda Daniel and Carolyn Carreno had 11 assists and eight8 assists, respectively.
"Lakeview is a very good team and we played one of our best matches of the season to beat them in a very tough and highly competitive match," Jefferson coach Mike Paul said.
In the second match Jefferson defeated Jackson County in two straight games, 25-20 and 25-14 in a non-area match.
