UNDATED - A Gwinnett County school bus driver receives the American Red Cross National Certificate of Merit.
Last December, a 9-year-old student on Dreanna Trent's school bus choked on a piece of candy.
"I did some compressions and I was just hollering at him," Trent told Fox 5 News. "Finally whatever was in his throat, he started moaning and turning his head."
The certificate recognizes a person's selfless and humane effort save or sustain a life with skills learned through Red Cross training.
