3 sentenced following meth manufacturing conviction

GAINESVILLE - A ten-day drug trial in Gainesville is over with the sentencing of three people convicted of running a methamphetamine lab.

Hall County District Attorney Lee Darragh said the time it took to try the case is not that unusual given the number of defendants and the fact that they each had their own attorney.

Donald Passmore, Patricia Hall and Kristi Gooch were arrested nearly two years ago at their Oakwood home. Three young children were present at the time of their arrests and because of that, they were also charged with and convicted of manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of children.

Passmore was sentenced to 15 years in prison, with 7 years to serve and the balance probated. Hall received a 15 year prison sentence with three years to serve and the balance on probation. Gooch, a first-time offender, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, to be released in one year on a work release sentence.

Also, each defendant was fined $2,000 and ordered to undergo mental health evaluations.
