COMMERCE - Lakeview Academy opened Area 7A/AA play with an impressive win over East Jackson Tuesday on the road in volleyball action.
The Lady Lions (7-6, 1-0 in area) were paced by Ivy Godfrey with four aces, Molly Gay with 11 assists, Louisa Jacobs with five kills, and Morgan Black with four kills in taking a 2-0 win (25-12, 25-16). .
Lakeview then knocked off Walnut Grove 25-6, 25-7. Lakeview was led by Jacobs with nine aces and Jackie Burleson with four aces. Ivy Godfrey and Megan Rochester each had three kills for the Lady Lions.
Lakeview next will travel to Athens Academy on Thursday.
