Volleyball: Lady Lions earn split against North Hall, GHS

GAINESVILLE - The Lakeview Academy volleyball team split a pair of matches Wednesday against North Hall and Gainesville.

In the first match Lakeview pushed the Lady Trojans to three games before falling 25-14, 22-25, 25-21 at the Lakeview gym. The Lady Lions rebounded in the second match to beat Gainesville 25-5, 25-14 to run their record to 5-4 on the season.

For the Lady Lions against North Hall, Morgan Black recorded 4 1/2 blocks, four digs, and three kills. Louisa Jacobs had four kills and A.C. Dover and Jackie Burleson each had four assists for Lakeview.

Against Gainesville, Lakeview roared out of the gate behind the serving of Black, who won nine consecutive points on her serve. All but one Lakeview player recorded an ace on serve against Gainesville.

Dover had five assists and Jacobs had four kills for the Lady Lions. Megan Rochester had three kills for Lakeview.
