Volleyball: East Hall gets split at Clarke Central

ATHENS - The East Hall girls volleyball team split a pair of matches Tuesday on the road.

The Lady Vikings lost to host Clarke Central 26-24, 25-11 but rallied from a game down to beat Madison County 23-25, 25-23, 26-24 in the second match.

Courtney Bivens led the way for East Hall with 16 points scored on serve with nine aces, two kills, four assists and two digs. Ashleigh Baugh had 11 points scored on serve with eight aces, four kills and 13 digs.

Stormy Hornsby had nine points scored on serve with five aces, 13 kills, one assist and 13 digs while Maricela Castillo had nine points scored on serve with six aces, four kills and two digs. Hannah Hix had three kills and 24 assists and Chelsea Nyamapaguma had seven points on serve with two kills.

Ashley DeLong came off of the bench late in the third game against Madison and hit two crucial aces that helped propelled East Hall to the win.

The Lady Vikings next will travel to Hart County on Saturday.
