Move-in day at Brenau

GAINESVILLE - The population of Gainesville received a "seasonal" shot-in-the-arm Wednesday... move-in day at Brenau University.

Students were returning to campus, many of them with their parents helping to carry their stuff up to their dorm rooms.

There was plenty of traffic both on the streets around the school, as well as in the parking lots at the dorms and elsewhere on campus.

Registration for the Fall Semester took place at the start of the day at the Burd Center.

That was scheduled to be followed by lunch at the Hopkins Dining Hall, afternoon meetings with advisers, residence hall staff, Health Services, etc., a meet-and-greet with faculty and staff, an opening ceremony and class picture.

Classes begin Monday.
