BRASELTON - The woman who has been mayor of Braselton for nearly eight years is giving the post up in order to run for the state Legislature.
Pat Graham says she will not seek re-election this year but will run next year for the state Senate post being vacated by Ralph Hudgins.
Hudgins has announced his candidacy for state Insurance Commissioner.
Graham, a Republican, was first elected mayor of Braselton in 2001.
