Hall BOE okays new budget

GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Board of Education has given final approval to the FY2010 budget while leaving the school tax rate unchanged.

It totals about $11 million less than this year's while leaving the tax rate at 16.42 mills.

"This board is to be commended for realizing the economic challenges many in our community are facing," Superintendent Will Schofield said. "They made it clear early in the budget process that they wanted a budget crafted that did not raise taxes."
