Another Ga. Tech student robbed

ATLANTA - A Georgia Tech student has been robbed at gunpoint, the latest in a string of armed robberies on or near the campus.

The victim, Jim Kenney, told WSB-TV that he was walking home Saturday night when a gunman approached him in the 1000 block of Hampton Street. The suspect told Kenney to lie on the ground, then stole his iPhone, money and sunglasses.

The robbery happened near the parking deck where Tech student Patrick Whaley was shot during a May 4 robbery. There have been other robberies in and around the Tech campus in recent weeks.
