GAINESVILLE - Bids will be opened next week on a resurfacing project on Georgia 365 north of Gainesville,using economic stimulus money.
It involves an 8.5-mile stretch of the busy four-lane.
The state Department of Transportation plans to resurface Georgia 365 between Old Cornelia Highway in Rabbittown to Georgia Highway 52 in Lula.
Bids will be opened next Friday and, according to spokeswoman Teri Pope, the contract will hopefully be awarded by early July.
