GAINESVILLE - Beginning today, Hall County residents can pay traffic tickets and Department of Natural Resources citations online.
Clerk of Court Charles Baker said in a written statement, "We're bringing Hall County in line with the services offered by other forward-thinking counties. We hope this will make it easier for Hall County citizens to pay their traffic citation fines."
Credit and debit cards will be accepted online. Payments can still be made at the Clerk's office, which will soon accept credit cards in addition to cash, cashier checks and money orders.
ICON Software Corporation of Suwanee was the winning bidder to provide the online service. The service comes at no cost to the county and will be funded by the collection of a convenience fee of $5 plus 3% of the fine.
Payees will be notified that by paying their ticket, they are pleading guilty to the violation. If a resident is required to appear in court, the service will not allow that person to pay online. Payment can be made at paymyticket.hallcounty.org.
Residents with questions may contact the Traffic Violations Bureau at 770-531-7065, [email protected] or Hall County Courthouse, 225 Green St. S.E., Gainesville.
