BRASELTON -- T.J. Reed battled to his first win at Lanier National Speedway and his third win overall in the Georgia Asphalt Series on Saturday night, as he edged Russell Fleeman for first place in the 100-lap GAS series race in Braselton.
The 19-year-old Reed, of Acworth, exchanged the lead four times and overcame four cautions in the No. 41 Ford to add Lanier to his list of victorious GAS Series tracks that also includes Cordele and Senoia.
Fleeman, of Dacula, finished ahead of Casey Roderick of Roswell and Greg Simpson of Gainesville. Chase Elliott also finished sixth.
In other action from Saturday, Mark Willbanks won the Super Cross race, while Randy Haney picked up his second win of the season in the Open Wheel Modified division.
Mike Davidson took the chequered flag in the Ice Man event, winning his fourth straight race, while Jeff Chadwick picked up his third win.
Scotty Beck of Nicholson survived a wild Mini-Stock race that started with nine cars and finished with just three after wrecks and disqualifications.
Brady Boswell also emerged with his first-ever professional win at just 12-years-old in the Pro Challenge race.
In Legends racing, Steven Ross charged to his fourth win overall, and a top finish in the Pro division. Mike Brooks also picked up his first win of the year in the Masters division and Harrison Rhodes, of High Point, N.C., claimed the Semi-Pro division.
And in Bandolero racing, Kason Plott claimed the Bandit division, while Cody Garland clinched the Young Gun division.
