Sex offender registers bogus address in Forsyth Co.

CUMMING - The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is seeking a convicted sex offender who gave authorities a bogus registration address.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Capt. Frank Huggins said 27-year-old David Lee Heard registered an address on Old Federal Road in Forsyth County on March 24 when he moved to the area from Lumpkin County.

"An investigator went to the address and the people there didn't know who he was and he had never lived there," said Huggins.

He said Heard was convicted in 2002 of statutory rape and child molestation. He said Heard served time in prison for these offenses and was released in February 2009.
