Chicken house hit by fire; loss put at $250k

GAINESVILLE - The loss is put at around a quarter million dollars following an East Hall chicken house fire early Tuesday.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell says it happened about 2:25 at 4022 on Fuller Road. Chief Kimbrell says the house was empty but was being prepared for "chickens they were supposed to get sometime today."

Kimbrell says the cause of the fire is unknown. Firefighters were called back to the scene about 6:15 Tuesday morning because of a re-kindle. He said the chicken house was owned by Donald Land.
