PEACHTREE CITY - Be careful with any outdoor burning you are planning today. The dry, windy conditions have led the weather service to issue a Red Flag Warning for most of north and central Georgia... which means that "critical" fire weather conditions exist.
And, just a reminder, as we reported earlier this week, the state-mandated summer-long ban on outdoor burning begins for 54 counties May 1.
Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell told us Monday the ban includes Gwinnett, Hall, Forsyth, Lumpkin and Pickens counties in northeast Georgia.
